Biography

Omar joined the firm in 2013, he is currently a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department.
Omar is a dispute resolution lawyer with 9 solid years of experience in advising, representing, handling, and protecting the interests of multinational corporations on different levels, including: Labor Law matters, filing damages before courts, real estate matters, issuing different legal opinions on a wide range of aspects, anti-competitive practices, and contracts.

Omar provides day-to-day legal advice to many multinational and Egyptian companies on various
aspects of Corporate, Commercial, Competition, Insurance, Real Estate, Oil and Gas, and Banking matters.

Hanafy drafts and provides legal advice on general contractual, tortious, commercial, and
labor law matters.

Involved in several share-purchase, shareholder, and management agreements for several
clients, and conducted dispute matters in relation thereto. Also Involved in defending clients in criminal acts, such as: customs, taxes, and banking, against the Egyptian Government. He handles several Tax and Anti-Trust/Competition disputes for Egyptian and multinational companies and provides general corporate and commercial finance matters advice to various
clients.

Considerable experience in different types of labor lawsuits including white-collar labor related lawsuits and multi-million agency agreements dispute on behalf of Egyptian and multinational companies.

Omar assisted in providing legal services to Emaar Misr for Development, Majid El Futtaim,
Mondelez Egypt Foods, Al Amreyah Cement Company, Damas Jewelry, Bisco Misr, Metrojet Airlines, Gulf Air, Orange Egypt For Telecommunications, Assiut Cement Company (CEMEX), Arab Petroleum Pipelines (SUMED), Emirates NBD Egypt S.A.E, Helwan Cement Company SAE, Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries JULPHAR PJSC, Kogalimavia “Metrojet” (Russian Aviation Company) and Ingostrakh (Russian Insurance Company), Majid Al Futtaim – MISR, SODIC Garden City For Development & Investment, Kellogg, Nipro Europe NV, Halocarbon, NOWY, Diamler Benz, BEIN, and Arab Engineering Office (AEO).
