Closing of AngloGold Ashanti plc’s Acquisition of Centamin

Shalakany as local counsel alongside lead counsel Slaughter and May advised AngloGold Ashanti plc in its acquisition of Centamin plc which closed on 22 November 2024. Centamin plc is an established gold producer, whose flagship Tier 1 asset is the Sukari gold mine, which is Egypt’s largest and first modern gold mine, as well as one of the world’s largest producing mines.
