Shalakany Proudly Hosts the 2025 Egyptian National Rounds of Jessup Competition.
The 2024 Egyptian National Rounds of the prestigious Jessup Moot Court Competition were held at Shalakany’s Office on February 21st and 22nd, 2025.
The Jessup Moot Court Competition stands as the globe’s largest moot court event, drawing participants from approximately 700 law schools across 100 nations and jurisdictions.
Securing victory in the Egyptian National Rounds, “British University in Egypt – BUE” who will represent Egypt in the forthcoming International Rounds in Washington, DC.
British University in Egypt clinched the best memorials awards for Applicant and Respondent, while the title of 1st best oralist was claimed by Farida Maklad from the German University in Cairo (GUC). Yassine Khoweiled from IDAI secured the 2nd best oralist position.
The Shalakany team organizing the Jessup comprised of Adam El Shalakany, Nada Hesham Hashem, Ragya Shoukry, Youssef Omar and Mohamed Nour.
Shalakany and White & Case LLP will extend their support by sponsoring the victorious team’s journey to represent Egypt at the Global Rounds of Jessup in April 2025 in Washington, DC. The 2025 Egyptian National Rounds of the Jessup Moot Court Competition were a resounding success, and Shalakany takes immense pride in its role as host. Congratulations to the triumphant BUE team, and may they continue their success in the international arena.
