Shalakany, in collaboration with the Association of Corporate Counsel MENA, had the pleasure of hosting a conference tackling the hot topic of the Data Protection Law. The conference took place on Thursday, 15 December at Shalakany’s headquarters in Zamalek, Cairo and was further attended virtually by participants from various sectors and countries.
The conference was led by panelists Mr. Aly Ahmed, Chief Prosecutor at the Public Finance Crimes Bureau and Mr. Muhammed Ussama, Partner at Shalakany.
Discussions were centered around the different aspects of the new Data Protection Law, the criminal liabilities arising from data protection infringements, and the tools that ensure compliance with the data protection requirements. Shalakany would like to thank the Association of Corporate Counsel MENA for this fruitful collaboration.
