Shalakany is pleased to share its successful completion of the enforcement of a final ruling concerning the retrieval of a factory that belongs to one of Shalakany’s clients, a multinational consumer goods company. Shalakany had last year (2023) secured a (favorable) appeal ruling which upheld the (favorable) first instance ruling that was issued in the client’s favor. The enforcement process was initiated in October 2023 and was successfully completed with the coercive retrieval of the factory, through the competent authorities, in December 2023. The fast pace of completion of the enforcement process serves is evidence of how efficient the enforcement regime in Egypt can be if the legal strategy that is devised and implemented is comprehensive and sound.
