Biography
Dr. El Mahdy joined the Firm in 2000. He is the head of the Tourism, Hotels and Real Estate Department at the Firm.

Dr. El Mahdy was the former Head of the English Department of the Faculty of Law, Cairo University, professor at the Civil Law, and a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Commerce and the Faculty of Economics & Political Science, English, French and Arabic Departments, Cairo University, Egypt.

Dr. El Mahdy has been a speaker in several national and international conferences. Further, and apart from being a senior lecturer at Cairo University, he has also lectured at the American University in Cairo, the French University in Egypt and the British University in Egypt. Dr. El Mahdy has a number of published scholarly researches and articles in the Civil Law, Tourism Law, Contracts Law, in addition to his other academic publications.

Dr. El Mahdy negotiated and drafted management, franchise, concession, joint venture and licensing agreements for hotels and touristic establishments. He participated in drafting and/or reviewing, amending and negotiating numerous hotel management and/or franchise agreements in Egypt, whether acting on behalf of owners, or management companies, such as the Steigenberger Al Dau Hurghada Resort, Mena House Oberoi Hotel, the Cairo Marriott Hotel, the Hurghada Marriott Hotel, the Taba Heights Marriott Hotel and Resort, the Sharm El Sheikh Ritz Carlton Hotel & Resort, the Marriott Sahl Hasheesh Resort, the Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt, the Fairmont Nile City Hotel, El Gezirah Sofitel Hotel, the Hilton Marsa Alam Hotel & Resort.
