    Mostafa El Zeky joined the Firm’s Corporate Department in 2011. He was on secondment with Global Telecom Holding in April/May 2013 and with Linklaters LLP (Dubai office) in January/February 2016.

    Mostafa has worked on numerous M&A transactions requiring extensive due diligence, drafting of transaction documents and supervising the signing and closing process. Key M&A projects include representing United Energy Group in the acquisition of the local Kuwait Energy assets, the Mansour Group on the potential sale of Metro supermarkets, TPG on a potential acquisition of an Egyptian asset in the retail sector space, Financial Holding International Limited in the acquisition of a number of key assets from Qalaa Holding across various sectors, Pamplona Capital Management LLP’s acquisition of RWE Nile branch GmbH, Chevron’s sale of its Egyptian downstream assets and acting on behalf of JTI in the acquisition of the Nakhla Group companies.

    Mostafa is a member of the Firm’s Projects group and worked extensively on project related documents. He is currently representing JBIC, NEXI and a number of commercial banks in the project financing of a landmark 250MW BOO wind farm project, and is also representing EBRD, IFC and OPIC on a second 250 MW BOO wind farm project. He represented several consortia in major renewable energy feed-in tariff projects. Mostafa advised IFC on the structuring of sovereign guarantees for the project financing of future power producing IPP projects.

    Mostafa acts for real estate clients, including Emaar Misr, in matters including drafting due diligence reports on major real estate projects and contracts for the sale of residential, commercial and administrative units. He is currently advising a number of clients in connection with registration of real estate property in Egypt, including diplomatic mission headquarters.

    Mostafa acted for Emaar in its IPO on the Egyptian stock exchange, the largest IPO on the exchange over the last decade, EBRD in its equity investment in the Ibn Sina IPO, one of the best performing IPOs in the Egyptian market in 2017 and has advised General Motors on undertaking its recent USD 90 million capital increase.

    Mostafa is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association.
