Shalakany is pleased to announce that it successfully represented its client, a leading FMCG Manufacturer which is an arm of Ayurvedic & Natural Health Care global company, in relation to two important litigation cases arising from a lease agreement of a manufacturing plant.
Shalakany represented the client in a substantive case, as well as in an interim-measure case the Client elected to pursue following Shalakany’s recommendation. We managed to secure the sought-after interim relief from court within a period of 14 weeks. Shortly thereafter, Shalakany also managed to secure the client a win in relation to the substantive case which confirms our client’s position in relation to the expiry right not to renew the lease of the plant and grants our client adequate compensation.
The Shalakany team handling this matter is comprised of Muhammad Ussama (Partner), Mahmoud El Omdah (Senior Associate) and Mohamed El Zohery (Associate).
Muhammad Ussama (Partner) said: “We are certainly pleased to have secured these important two wins for our client in this short time span starting the beginning of March. Interim relief is especially hard to secure in Egypt, and this win affirms Shalakany’s expertise and our ability to deliver results.”
