Shalakany Secures a CRCICA Arbitration Win for its Client

Shalakany is proud to announce that its Disputes’ team has successfully secured an important arbitration win for its client, a leading Egyptian company that specializes in the construction of industrial works and in delivering high-quality industrial plants. The dispute relates to the construction of a chemical plant located in El Beheira governorate for the production of high-grade materials and chemicals.

The Arbitral Tribunal unanimously issued its award granting our Client the majority of its claims in the Arbitration, thus, granting our Client over EGP 90 million in compensation, plus interest.  It was a CRCICA arbitration, with a three-membered arbitral tribunal consisting of engineers and dealt with many technical issues including inflation and delay claims.

The team who handled the arbitration consists of Adam El Shalakany (Senior Partner), Muhammad Ussama (Partner), Yasmine El Menshawy (Associate), Mohamed El Zoheiry (Associate), Nadine Nassef (Associate), and Farida Hegazy (Associate).
