Shalakany is proud to share that our litigation team has secured two back-to-back wins during November 2024 in two criminal cases heard before Egyptian courts and concerning different subject matters. Two in absentia criminal conviction rulings were issued against our client\u2019s legal representative (i.e., the Chairperson of the Company\u2019s Board of Directors). Shalakany acted on behalf of our client\u2019s Chairperson, and we managed to secure acquittal rulings from the competent criminal courts. <\/p>\n
One of the cases concerned a purported breach of the company\u2019s statutory obligations under the Egyptian Labour Law. And the other case was a product liability case. <\/p>\n
The litigation team handling these two criminal cases comprised of Muhammad Ussama (Senior Partner), Ayman Demerdash (Counsel), Mahmoud El Omdah (Senior Associate), and Mohamed El Zohery (Mid-level Associate). <\/p>\n
