Omneya Anas and Rokaya Ghoneim, members of Shalakany’s corporate tax practice, have attended an intriguing conference organized by the Egyptian Tax Society and attended by His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance. Dr. Maait opened the conference by discussing key aspects of the shift to digitalizing the Egyptian tax system as well as projections for 2023.
The conference further hosted key members of the Ministry of Finance, the Egyptian Tax Authority, the Egyptian Tax Society and scholars who discussed the Unified Tax Procedure Law and the problems being faced in practically applying various tax provisions
