- Shalakany acted for GEMS Education and their joint venture with EFG Hermes as Egyptian counsel in their acquisition of 4 schools in Egypt for over EGP 1 billion.
- Shalakany acted for South Atlantic Petroleum Limited as it’s Egyptian counsel in its bid to acquire global and local assets of Merlon International LLC.
- Shalakany advised Dubai Holding as Egyptian counsel on the acquisition of a minority stake in Azadea Group Holding for over USD 1 billion.
- Shalakany acted for United Energy Group Limited as Egyptian legal counsel in their acquisition of the entire share capital of Kuwait Energy PLC for over USD 650 million.
- Shalakany recently acted for VEON in its mandatory tender offer for up to 43% of the shares of Global Telecom Holding for approximately USD 600 million, the largest mandatory tender offer in Egyptian history.
- Shalakany assisted Engie E&P International in the sale of its Egyptian exploration and production business to Neptune Oil & Gas. The overall transaction was for USD 3.9 billion.
- The firm acted as Sealed Air Corporation’s counsel in the sale of its Diversey Care division along with the food, hygiene and cleaning business within its Food Care division to Boston-based private equity firm, Bain Capital Private Equity, with a value of USD 3.2 billion.
- The firm recently acted as a local counsel for a leading private equity firm in undertaking an equity investment in one of the largest FinTech companies in Egypt and the Middle East.
